Second Quarter INAEP General Membership Meeting

The next meeting will be a Joint Meeting with the Indiana Association of Hazardous Materials Professionals (INAHMP) on Wednesday, May 23rd , 2012 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm  for lunch at the Chase Bank Building (111 Monument Circle, Indianapolis, IN 46204) in Downtown Indianapolis on the 3rd floor conference room courtesy of HNTB, the meeting topic will be:

Post-Super Bowl Environmental Programs Update!

Presenter:      Ms. Summer Keown of IDEM

Ms. Keown presented to the INAHMP last fall regarding all the Environmental or “Green” initiatives associated with hosting the 2012 Superbowl. This is a follow-up on the final statistics regarding the Post-Super Bowl Environmental Programs.

2011 INAEP YEAR IN REVIEW

The INAEP wishes to thank all of our volunteers who made 2011 so successful for the organization. 

In 2011, we are proud to boast five social events at different locations across the city throughouth the year, providing great networking opportunities for both members and non members.

We held four quarterly membershipmeetings, beginning with a lecture on the huge Indy Tunnel Watershed project at MoonDawg Tavern in February,  a lecture on the Federal Transportation Reauthorization Bill at HNTB headquarters in May, a discussion on Environmental Obligations Under Homeland Security at George's Tavern in August, and a discussion with Region 5 Administrator Jim Vanderkloot on green practices and sustainability in November. 

We held our fourth annual INAEP Scholarship Golf Outing Fundraiser at Coffin Golf Course in September.  Thanks to all of you who donated your time and charity to make this event a success.  Your efforts have allowed the INAEP to continue the Scholarship program through 2012 and beyond.

We have had a great success partnering with different organizations such as the Indiana Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA) for mulitple social outings as well as with the Indiana Geologists group on a after-hours field trip to the nationally reknown Indianapolis Children's Museum for an in-depth view of their Paleontology exhibit.

The INAEP will continue to strive through 2012 to bring you new topics of interest to expand your horizon as an environmental professional, exciting field trips and Site visits to points of interest across the State, and networking events to keep you connected and your RFPs growing.

We are looking forward to another great year!
